Do you have a love/hate relationship with false eyelashes?

Do you love the idea of wearing false lashes, but shudder at the thought of actually having to put them on?

Have you attempted to apply false lashes for a special occasion, only to be overcome with frustration and regret as the glue transfers all over your eyelid, and that lash, that damn lash just won’t stick down?

If you answered YES! to any, or all of these questions then this is the blog post for you! At AMA our mission is to Inspire and Empower Women to take Charge of their Lives and today we are going to start by breaking down How to Apply False Lashes

When applying false lashes there are some key tips and tricks to ensuring a flawless lash application:

1. It is super important to ensure that you are measuring the false lashes out in line with the width of your eye shape. Try to do this looking straight into a mirror and then use your lash scissors (or any scissors, we’re not going to judge!) to trim the excess lashes from the outer edge.

2. Curl your lashes and add a little mascara. Everyone has a different technique, but we find that doing this first helps your natural lash and the false lashes sit comfortably together, like a cute little lash-tastic couple.

3. Let your glue get TACKY! Evenly distribute a thin layer of glue along the band of the lash and let it dry for approximately 10 seconds, or until tacky.

4. When applying the lashes aim for the centre of your lash line first, then follow by sticking down the outer, and then inner corner. Try to get the false lash as close to your natural lash line as possible.

Sometimes its a good idea to pop some eyeliner on first…just incase theres a little gap in between…eyeliner = no identifiable gap! Your Welcome!

We’re not going to lie, it does take practice, so we’ve also developed a short tutorial (and linked it above) to support you to reconcile that love/hate relationship with those false lashes! Good Luck!
